That's a serious flaw. If your security camera software does not track negros or latinos or other dark skinned perps you have a problem.

An episode of "Better Off Ted" presented a similar situation. Everything in the office (lights, elevator, drinking fountain, etc) was controlled by some newly installed motion sensors and the sensors had a design flaw: they didn't recognize black people. Black people couldn't do anything in the office without a white person near by and the company wouldn't admit its mistake. It was a very funny episode.
