Mary Carey is betraying the porn industry.

Instead of talking about the industries most important issue, the detection of disease, Ms. Carey would rather use her 'run for governor' to promote her brand new film.

In a day and age where HIV/AIDS can be detected in ONE HOUR, but yet performers must often wait ONE WEEK to find out results, thus infecting more people- IN AND OUTSIDE OF THE INDUSTRY- Ms. Carey would rather hold large events in Hollywood to joke around about another movie, and hobnob with fans and reporters.

Ms. Mary Carey, you disappoint me.

You have betrayed the very performers you represent.

At the TOP of your list of issues should be the HEALTH AND WELL BEING of those you work with in your own damn industry.

To think that the porn industry must WAIT until DECEMBER to BEGIN testing for HERPES is also OUTRAGEOUS.

DEAR MS. MARY CAREY, I HAVE A QUESTION FOR YOU:

How would you feel if your straight out of high school daughter went and shot a porn movie, only to find out she had contracted HIV and HERPES because there was a one week delay in getting results from performers, and the HERPES test WASN'T EVEN AVAILABLE?

I simply can't believe there hasn't been a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT filed against the industry yet.

If I was the father or mother of a straight outta high school daughter who came up positive for something like this...

I'd be looking to all the porn makers, AND Ms. Mary Carey FOR ANSWERS.

Most people who come from a certain industry attempt to do something for that industry that benefits the people in the industry.

If America wants porn, which it does, porn should be treated as a JOB.

And in the workday of that JOB, porn should be held to the same standards of the rest of American workplaces WHEN IT COMES TO SAFETY.

Mary, please get your head out of your ass.

There are people out here who are looking up to you.

Don't let them down.

Either unionize porn, or make DAY OF TESTING the NORM for the porn industry.

THIS IS FUCKING INTOLERABLE, AND ABSOLUTELY MUST NOT STAND.

By the way, I have a prediction I'd like to make:

If you people in the industry do not make significant headway on this issue very, very soon...there is an outside force that will come in and MAKE YOU do it.

And that force, is the UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT.

If you DO NOT want the government to come in, make all of you open up your books, and thumb around your offices...

YOU'D BETTER FUCKING STEP UP AND DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS.

DAY OF SHOOT TESTING and RESULTS are a REALITY HERE AND NOW.

Either you people make that reality happen, or the government will DO IT FOR YOU.

Lives are on the line here, people.

WAKE THE FUCK UP.

If you have to increase the price on your DVD to accomodate this, DO IT.

Spending the extra money to make sure your performers are protected will come back to you IN SPADES.
