Shawna Forde believes the way to know the woman behind the Veil of a name or story, to ponder a dream when long shadows of night come down the hill, or when the sun is brazen on a cloudy day. Having a friend is her need. The gossamer threads that connect her to others are a bonding strength as she speaks memories and shares the taste of life in laughter and quiet depths in which calms souls.



But do not be fooled by her large rack and poetic writings.



By 2007, Forde had become increasingly involved with the Minutemen Civil Defense Corps (MCDC), including organizing an anti-immigration rally. Her son, then 17, was a member of the Hoover Crips gang and was involved in all types of illicit activities, including burglary, felony assault, and shoplifting. She turned her son in and he took revenge by directing his criminal accomplices to sexually assault and shoot his mother in January 2008.

Forde then began making routine claims without evidence, including locating where human smugglers regularly raped women and conspiracy theories surrounding terrorists smuggling in radioactive materials and marijuana.

On May 30, 2009, Forde and two accomplices barged into an Arivaca, Arizona, residence and killed Raul Flores Jr., 29, and his nine-year-old daughter, Brisenia Ylianna Flores.

She is now on death row.
