AFAIK the swap sites went from originally having blood related characters with no sexual interactions with each other (the swapped couples even fucking in separate rooms in separate 2-parter scenes) -a stupid concept- to steprelatives ending up fucking each other in those swap/unswapped foursomes. In fact around the time TS made the transition to the characters being steprelated and fucking each other they also went back and censored their earlier episodes with blood related characters by removing entire segments that showed taboo interactions between them. Many of the original and highly rated episodes were longer and raunchier than the versions currently on the sites.


I can understand someone looking at today's vanilla pornsites like brazzers and thinking porn has gotten raunchier with all the incest-themed plots. But that would be ignoring that before that they had already replaced the pizza delivery guy porn plot with rape-themed plots - chicks being coerced and blackmailed into sex, of course it was all lighthearted and comical since those are meant to be vanilla/mainstream scenes where the viewer can skip the plot if he just wants to get to the action - much like these fauxcest plots are more comical than kinky- but those were the themes nonetheless.
That was until the obscenity squad over at VISA/MC cracked their whips and down went pornstarpunishment and similar rapey plots, so they switched to the milder fauxcest.


Even R18 has had to go back and retranslate their incest-themed japanese DVD titles for the west to make them "only" steprelatives. Same goes for C4S: you'll only find step-relative stuff there now. Most of the old catalog is gone, ditto for fetishes like hypno, poppers, forced sex etc, all gone.

The reality is that porn in the 2020s has been censored into being milder than Kay Parker's Taboo was during obscenity witch hunts.

It's even much more sanitized today than it was just 12 years ago because of the actions of the anti-porn lobby. Casting couch producers are falling likes flies, going to prison for dubious reasons (the frenchbukkake case was clearly BS). Nobody dares shoot booze fueled orgies like drunksexorgy, inthevip, partyhardcore anymore, in fact most of those scenes have already been removed from their websites (there were well over 200 inthevip scenes for instance).

Just last year while people were still in pandemic lockdowns they even tried to force onlyfans to remove all hardcore content for crying out loud.
