The "old school" engaged these porners at arms length and didn't really waylay them until they ventured into the cage. Alas there will never be another jamesn (may he rest in peace, and with all due respect), and Smiling Arab figured it out and will never be back.
Those two were never interested in porn to begin with. They were more interested in their little niche areas of mental superiority. James was tuned up, Arab and the longest-term Monkey Mike S. had very little quick wit.
Plenty of Monkey's acolytes ventured out of the Cage. Would you stay around is you were a mentally fragile whore whose moral compass can't find its bearing, listening to a bunch of chronic masturbators seize on your every word? Whores always had a limited shelf life here. Between Luke Ford's Jew blogging, Twitter, and JeffMike fading into obscurity, there's not much to work with. That admin Steve they brought in didn't help things either. Neither did the Shout Box.
