^The PFD was established by the Alaska state constitution, so I'm being a constitutionalist. Initially the fund was set up to pay you more money for each year you've lived in Alaska, but that was all ruined by a guy named Ron Zobel, a liberal Democrat with a Jewy last name who had only lived in Alaska for 2 years at that time and sued the state for more money. Now we all get the same amount as any schmuck who just moved here (1 year of residency required).
