You're laboring under the misapprehension that Putin views Drumpf as a peer and partner in their collaboration. He doesn't. Like the vast majority of people on this planet, Putin views Drumpf for what he is: A tool. A blithering idiot whose election would plunge America into chaos. That's what he set out to do, and that's exactly what he achieved.

You're also laboring under the misapprehension that Stalin, the most egregiously paranoid motherfucker in history, trusted the Nazis in 1939. He didn't. He entered into the non-aggression pact not to buy peace, but to buy time. He knew Hitler would turn on him; he simply thought it wouldn't happen until 1943, after beating France and England. There was no trust whatsoever, on either part. Simply a miscalculation that Hitler's hubris wouldn't get so far out of hand as to let him do the one thing he swore not to do: Fight a two-front war.
