This is the Sand Cave in the Cumberland Gap National Historic park. Its about a 6 mile hike up on the mountain. No vehicles of any kind are allowed. I was there many times as a kid and teen. It used to have multi-colored sand and many people had jars with layers of the colors of sand. Over the years with so many visits it's not as dramatic as before.
The park would de-ball you for taking sand out now.
