is there an appeal in playing older versions of games? i mean i get it if it's totally retro as hell, but do guys get good at one year and wanna play it all the time?
If they have a favorite team, or team they are really good with. My neighbor's kid used to love playing Madden w/ an Eagles team that had Brian Westbrook at RB. Usually 2x a game he would run back kick offs w/ that speedy lil bastard.
W/ college sports, I would imagine if your fave team won a national championship that year you may be partial to that edition.
I was always a big fan of early 90s Madden, cause I did well w/ the Lions of those years. Barry Sanders, Herman Moore, and a decent defense.
