Range Rovers are made by Land Rover (originally just Rover). They also make models that are just called Land Rover. You're thinking of Toyota Land Cruisers.
The company is called Land Rover, right. The Range Rover series are the luxury SUV series which can be pretty finnicky. The company also sells a more utilitarian Land Rover series since the 1950s. You are likely to spot them in Africa, in Belfast oppressing Catholics, etc.
