A lot of that probably depends on if Christy participates or recants and doesn't want to be part of the charges (always possible with abused women).

I would think that War and his lawyer will make many public attempts to say how much he loves Christy, asks for forgiveness, plays the "you made me do it by breaking my heart", and stuff like that. He will go to prison but without her active with the prosecution it would be a hell of a lot less.

And if he cuts a deal or goes to trial; that will make a big difference too of course.

A trial with him pleading not guilty would be the worst for him because of his prior history they would throw the book at him. If he can suck up enough to Christy, get her to partially forgive him, and then cut a deal, then he may only get a couple of years. A trial with her actively involved could get him 10 with his priors.
