The upside of living in a small town in Appalachia is that you can get a doctor or a vet to make a house call and its no big deal. The flip side is when your Vet calls you and asks you to help foster a puppy that came out of a horrible living condition, you end up saying OK.

I had put my Australian Shepherd down this past April for cancer, and I was dog less for the first time in like 20 years. The vet had this deaf australian shepherd puppy who has turned out to be super sweet.
