It's not really nicotine addiction as much as it is compulsion. You spend years and years smoking cigarettes at specific times, like driving, after eating, after blowing a wad, etc and you have to train your body and mind to not do that shit anymore. When I got into my car, I would light up automatically without even thinking about it. Sure, I'm addicted to nicotine, but my biggest problem is breaking the habit itself. I smoked five yesterday which is phenomenal considering I usually smoke a pack a day. I refuse to bring cigarettes to work anymore because I have so much time to do it at my job. I'm hoping to go a whole day cigarette free, so we'll see how that pans out. I kind of have to, as my blood pressure has reached dangerous levels (diastolic of 115).
