I had no idea. Here I thought I had been pedo-craving a shiksa during "What I Like About You" TeenNick reruns, but no.

I am always [wrongly] shocked when a Jew, even a 1/2 Jew, has substance abuse problems. I buy into the racial profiles, I guess.

But, it's also personal experience. There are lots of problems in my family. Loads. Mob ties in the 30s/40s. My brother's fiancée's family did time for "Jewish Lightning". My dad's family moved around Brownville like Arkin in "Slums of Beverly Hills". My mom's sister was a mini-"Bonnie" robbing gas stations with her con-man "Clyde" to finance their journey to LA in 1937.

But, like the ethno-stereotype, substance and alcohol issues don't exist. And, we are married into Irish and Asians.



Sadly I see Amanda likely dead in 5-10 years.
