Alex you do have to register in advance to vote. Just showing up doesn't work. Often when you get or renew or change the address on your picture ID there is a box to check to register to vote.
It said at least 25 days ahead. I thought I could just show up, put the check sign next to Obama, get the fuck out and buy some Kennedy Fried Chicken.
