I remember when Google went public, Sergey and Larry went on and on about how they would not employ tricks like earnings smoothing and sometimes the results would be lumpy. They even put out a guide on how to be a Google shareholder and they wouldn't cater to the Wall Street analysts, blah, blah, blah.

I guess that kind went out the window when the boys bought themselves the Boeing 767-200 "party plane" and bribed NASA to allow them to hangar it at the very convenient but US military owned Moffett field.


They also told their employees that if they bought expensive cars, they would have their windows smashed out in the parking lot. I don't like all this frugality crap. What's the point of having all this money if you're just going to horde it? Also, it's bad for the economy if all you do is keep it in the bank.
