He then wrestled as Matt Sydal in various indies including PWG, ROH, and WSX. I used to watch him wrestle at the tender age of 18-20, back when he was the only guy in the fed who could perform a convincing shooting star press and standing moonsault. Kid had chops and everyone knew that if anyone from GCW would make it anywhere, it would have been him. And he made it all the way to the top.
