Very much cherry picked figures? I think yes. But very true nonetheless. I can't consider it common practice among Muslim people in The Netherlands or Western Europe, because there are too many examples in my direct vicinity that would contradict it, but it happens a lot more among the Muslim population than most people realise. I think it has much more to do with tribal influences than with religion, though.
