obama was asked a question about the situation by the press corps, he didn't bring it up on his own so it's not really his fault for talking about it.

obama is usually pretty smooth answering these kinds of questions. I was surprised that the beginning of his answer, "I don’t know, not having been there and not seeing all the facts" didn't end with something along the lines of, "so, I have no comment." the pres calling cops stupid when he doesn't know the details is a lose/lose all day. as an aside, bo accusing doctors of performing unnecessary surgery for profit on childrens tonsils' during last nights presser is pretty scary. those eeeevil doctors and their organ stealing, profiteering, predatory tonsillectomies be damned! lol
