Good job! Sources are nice.

It's priceless how you thought whatever the fuck you were talking about involved "crunching numbers". Have fun at the early bird special, old timer!

We are disputing numbers. Let's see this in depth analysis:

FactCheck: What Obama's Speech Got Wrong | Newsweek
http://www.newsweek.com/id/186554

From the article:
Quote:

Data from the U.S. Courts show about 934,000 personal bankruptcies in the 12-month period ending June 2008. There are about 32 million seconds in a year. So someone filed for bankruptcy roughly every 30 seconds last year. But even a very high estimate, like the Harvard study we looked at last year, would only attribute half of those personal bankruptcies to medical expenses. So that's one health-related bankruptcy every minute at most.

Using 2008 data, now if bankruptcies have doubled this year, like the chart I posted indicates, that makes the President's number correct.

This article takes issue with the 2005 Harvard study saying health issues were a factor in 50% of bankruptcies. It then gives the same 2008 figures as the Newsweek article.

Again, from the article:
Quote:

This numbers seems a little high, even considering that 2008 was a year with a lot of a bankruptcies.

Yes, the numbers seem a little high, when you use stale data.

Consider the source. But, from the article:
Quote:

According to the WaPo on January 4, 08 and CNN Money for 08 and 09 projected, while it likely justifies his annual number, health care isn't even listed in the items.

Of couse not, because that's not what the articles are talking about. From the CNN article they say does not mention health care:
Quote:

The only benefit to filing Chapter 13, according to Williams, is the opportunity to hold onto your home. That's if your mortgage company is willing to work with you on a repayment plan.

Tide turning? ABC News nails Obama for healthcare lie
http://www.ihatethemedia.com/abc-news-obama-healthcare-lie

Again, consider the source. The article quotes the ABC News numbers debunked above, and tries this:
Quote:

Benefits will include Jack in the Box tacos and beer and Thursday night poker.

So, lost in this minutia is your point - what was it? Health care reform is not needed, is that what you are saying? Data from last summer still reflects what is going on in the economy? That there is no doubt that Saddam Hussein has nukes and the next warning sign may come in the form of a mushroom cloud? That the Obama administration might stretch numbers to try to save the economy and achieve access to health care for all Americans? That you can sling mud? That the Republicans were competent, and Brownie did a heckuva job?

Enough of this, come up with something a little bigger. You will be greeted as a liberator.
