She mentioned Traci Lords, the only true mainstream star, and said she had a fake ID and said she was forced. Traci and many other girls lied about their age. Traci wasn't the first and will not be the last. And Traci never once said she was forced. Traci said no one ever put a gun to her head.
My main problem with Traci Lords is not that she lied about her age. When a person shows a fake ID at a bar, there goal is not to close the bar. Ron Jeremy made this point when I was talking with him about Alexandra Quinn (who was also underage for many movies). The biggest thing that bothers me is she trys to across like she was a victim. Traci used her name recognition from porn to launch a mainstream movie and TV acting career. Jim Wynorski has said he cast Traci in Not of this Earth because her name recognition got people more interested in the movie. He was happy with the acting job she did for him.
Marilyn Chambers was cast in David Cronenberg's Rabid because she was much more well known then Sissy Spacek was before Carrie. Cronenberg said Chambers did go good method acting but his original choice was Spacek. I don't think Zombie Strippers would have got as much publicity if Jenna Jameson was not in it. Even though acting in porn can hurt mainstream acting opportunities, it's not always a negative. Traci has claimed that Jim South had drugs in his office. I have never read or talked to anyone else who has said that ever happened at Jim South's World Modeling agency. South has a reputation as being anti-drug. Would South be stupid enough to have drugs in his office? What if the police raided his office and found drugs there. Jamie Gardner
