I've always liked Ronin and To Live and Die in L.A. better. I've always thought the chase in Bullitt was overrated but the rest of the film was underrated. I'll give McQueen kudos for doing most of the driving in the chase though.

I saw a documentary on McQueen the other night. He teamed up with Peter Revson one year for the 12 Hours of Sebring. He had a cast on his foot from breaking a bone in his foot in a motorcycle wreck he had a week before the race. It was so hot inside the car that the cast melted and he and Revson still won 1st in their class and second overall to Mario Andretti and whoever his teammate was.
