It's not anything like Superbad which a lot of people in the theater thought it would be due to the ads.






I went into Adventureland expecting one thing (a Superbad style comedy) and came out of it kind of happy that it wasn't that at all. I really, really liked it. I thought it was a great coming of age story; and man did they nail the 80s right!


I guess my problem was with the main actors, Jesse Eisenberg is a poor mans Michael Cera, and I can't stand Ryan Reynolds.

The did a decent job capturing the 80's in general but some of the fashion was off, in Pittsburgh during the summer of 1987 everyone was wearing Jams and Vans or metal t-shirts with cut off jeans, not American flag bandanna's, acid washed jeans or polo shirts.
