Tonight I watched a documentary on HBO called "Hard Times at Douglass High." It's about the impact of the No Child Left Behind Act signed by Bush. They spend a year in a inner city (translation: black) high school.

It was pretty good. You walk away with sympathy for the teachers. It's an impossible task. One teacher mentioned that of an incoming class of 500 freshman, less than 3% read at a 9th grade level.
