You're right in the sense that marijuana isn't as dangerous a drug in the way it affects it's user-- withdrawals from pot are nothing like withdrawals from heroin. But as long as pot remains illegal, it's a black market trade and people definitely get hurt and killed over it. I dated a guy who once cut his "business partner's" toes off because he owed him money from dealing weed. Which is why the stuff should really be legalized, even though I don't smoke it anymore.
