Kurt, there's a big difference between male and female sex workers (which I did fail to make clear)-- particularly when we are not talking about streetwalkers, but in porn and escort services. Any reasonably attractive woman with a gym membership can get steady work as a porn whore. This just isn't true for males. Contrary to what Conky said, to get steady work as a male is tough. And males entering the industry are not paid nearly as well as females doing the same. Therefore male porn money is not the easy money that female porn money is. There are real barriers to getting this kind of work, and even after getting it, it doesn't necessarily pay hugely more than other employment available to men of the same educational and skill level. Females on the other hand can really cash in. And it's that "cashing in" that makes them despicable. I don't think Brian Surewood, say, was cashing in when he started porn. The motive is much more about the love of sex than the love of money. For most female porner, its the reverse. Without the big money, they just wouldnt do it. I think most of the men would do it for fucking peanuts. So a man isn't selling his soul, while many of the women are-- and when your soul has a price, that's fucking sick. I think you'd agree Kurt, but let me know.
