Police: Suspect Arrested In Videotaped Theft Using toddler

SEASIDE HEIGHTS, N.J. -- Police in Connecticut have arrested a man they say was videotaped using his 4-year-old granddaughter to steal a purse from an arcade in Seaside Heights, New Jersey.

Police in Seaside Heights said 52-year-old Daniel Twomey was arrested at 10:15 a.m. in a McDonald's parking lot in the Connecticut town of Riverside.

The suspect is now now being held in nearby Greenwich, and will likely be extradited back to New Jersey after the weekend, police said.

Bail had been set at $150,000 upon Twomey's arrest, and he's been ordered not to have contact with his grandchildren.

The theft happened early Sunday at Lucky Leo's in Seaside Heights, police said.
