1979 Christmas-

Got my first ever "own" stereo...one of those awful all in one units with a tuner/phono/and 8 track. Also got the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack on 8 Track and that is all... 8 Track was an amazing new technology to me and my parents had already a nice component system with a phono so i was mainly interested in the new Format as it was ...so for at least that one Christmas morning and day i played that 8 Track continuously and to this day expect the 8-track fadeouts that were common on certain "tracks". Since then i have learned to love that film and the music for the genius capsule of time that it is...but it always reminds me of a 10 year old christmas morning when all is magic and disco doesnt suck.
