I grew up on thrash myself. LA didn't have a big thrash scene like the Bay area, but we did have our fair share of bands. Slayer,Megadeth, and Dark Angel come to mind. There were alot of bands, but those three are legendary. One of my good friends grew up in the bay area and always tells me stories of hanging out with Robb Flynn, the guys in Forbidden and Heathen. I wish I lived there during the 80's.




looking back now, i guess i took that for granted. the music scene in sf is sadly dried up these days. fuck it though. nowadays there's great metal coming from all over the place. one of my favorite bands right now is fucking french of all things. but here's a blast from the past
