Robert Mitchum - That Man



"That Man" is a compilation album collecting Mitchum's excursions into singing ("Calypso Is Like So" from 1957 and "That Man, Robert Mitchum, Sings" from 1967). The first half of the songs fall into the light country/easy listening genre whereas the second half of the album is strictly calypso. Mitchum is by no way a good singer but he sings with such a charming "I just don't give a fuck" attitude that it's hard not to like his music. And he has some good lyrics too: From a logical point of view, better marry a woman uglier than you.
