He filmed a notorious sequence where one of the natives gets eaten alive by crabs for one reason or another but he found it very dubious to synch with the rest of the story so it ended up on the chopping room floor. At the time I was doing some research type docu-filming with a friend from France and we were meeting all kinds of psychos. One guy from Germany had pictures of the primere where Ruggero almost got lynched and killed.

The part of the music am talking about (if you've seen the movie) is the part where you see the cannibals eating chicks, and you here this re-verbed ping-ball machine sound which echos like it was recorded in a hollow tunnel. Then you hear a tap-beat with base in 1/2 sequence.
