The marketing of the industry appeals to the consumer.. not the star. That is a hard lesson but a vital one.




I've heard enough times in this bIz that 30 is over-the-hill, and that the opportunities dry up. That's not perception. That's reality. When I walk into a casting call, and a director tells me I'm too old to do porn (I was 27 at the time), I thought he was nuts.

Of course the marketing is for the consumer: all marketing is. But that doesn't mean that all avenues for 30-something performers besides MILF (and related) vids should be blockaded.

Women have to lie about our ages all the time. And I get asked all the time how old I am. Haven't guys learned yet that it's bad manners to ask a woman's age unless he's asking to see ID?
