I heard that at least one Republican is asking for Delay to step down. This should be interesting.

Why do you say that? Clinton had the White Water fiasco and the dick sucking thing, but who cared about that really? Terry McAuliffe, well he's just a punk, with China Gate, Global Crossing etc. But the sentiment among some Democrats was that idiots like Terry McAuliffe step down, especially after the last election. Clinton will always be remembered as the Pres who got his cock sucked by an intern -- that's why Gore and the Dems distanced themselves from him in 01. The gun thing was a fucking joke from the get go, but if it was left up to me, I'd like to see every gun not registered - but banned. I don't pay attention to it, because as far as I'm concerned, I don't care about guns and I don't care about people who care about guns. The NRA can fucking burn in Hell for all I care.
As for my country, it's a fucking mess -- our Prime Minister Paul Martin is a fucking pig, who, when we was Finance Minister, used his position in a corrupt Liberally-dominated government to help his own company reign in record profits, along with funding a massively criminal ad-scam program which is opening a can of worms. The Liberals are slowly losing the public's confidence, but, in the end, it doesn't matter because there ain't nobody else to vote for. Like the Dems, the Libs are the lesser of two, or rather, three, evils. The Tories (the Canadian equivalent to the Republicans) are corporate bitches, who would blindly follow Bush into a war, if it meant more money in their pockets. Mulroney is despised by Canadians for getting into bed with the Americans the way he did.
As for my opinions about your country -- whatever happens in your country always comes back and bites us in ours. That's why Canadians tend to give a shit about what goes on in the States because, in the end, we're gonna feel it.

Huh? I don't know how it would solve crime, and I never alluded to it in my reply.
I just want to get rid of guns -- for criminals, hunters, everyone, because no good can ever come from owning a gun. And, if there's no guns, then punk ass Eminem wannabes will have a harder time getting them.
My reasoning for not liking guns comes from a human being point of view. Everyday I hear some kid blowing away another kid for some running shoes or some other shit.
Get rid of the fucking guns -- that's my opinion. Right or wrong that's how I feel.
As for crime, our justice system is also a joke. Karla Homolka is gonna be walking the streets in a few months... Nuff said!

Damn .... Thanks for this. The Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police says the gun registry is key to reducing the misuse of guns and makes it easier for police to track illegal guns. How can this great Canadian Chiefs of Police track unregistered illegal guns. How do you track something that is by definition not traceable hence it is illegal. God forgive me, I do love the above mentality.

Gun deaths in schools are wildly overrated. There are an average of about two deaths per year, driven by "large" incidents once a decade or so. Car accidents to or from school is the main killer.
Ya, I know Columbine was a bad example, and I believe that actually had more to do with two kids being bullied than guns, but, I guess I was thinking of those other kids in the inner cities who use guns as an alternative to a good old fashioned scrap.
In my neck of the woods, Toronto and Vancouver, the gang thing is getting out of control. Kids are starting to kill each other in record numbers. I know these kids will always be able to find access to guns, but, I'm just thinking that if the access was limited, by any means necessary, then it might help the problem.
I'm probably talking outta my ass on this issue, but the sheer volume of guns on city streets is scary, and sadly, they seem to falling into the wrong hands. Some old hunter enjoying a weekend with his friends, that's not so bad -- it's the inner city kids hunting other kids for coats and shoes and shit, that's what scares me.
