My take on why girls ultimately switch to contract:
A lot of them start out with gonzo porn to get instant fame.To get that fame, they have to do some things whch some may find uncomfortable - DP's, A2M, Creampies, black guys(I betcha quite a lot of porno stars are racists), swallowing etc. etc.
They don't like it but do it anyway because it keeps paying the bills and makes them famous. Then when a contract offer comes in, they fall over themselves to sign up. Why? Because they get a lot more money, they don't have to live from paycheck to paycheck, they don't have to do the gonzo porn things they used to do, they don't have to do inter-racial and they don't have to do the rough stuff
after a while, once they think they are well off, they quietly ease out of the industry to get married and settle down and leave their porn past behind

Maybe ur right Robert, maybe they will make more money if they keep churning out gonzos, but a lot of them feel, i'm sure, that gonzo money is not easy money, whereas contract money is less strenous...little or no anal, lighter workload, none of the A2M stuff of gonzo porn.
besides, to me, it seems like as soon as a star signs a contract, it signals her intention of quitting porn within a year or two.
Doing gonzo means she will have to keep acting to get money..contract means she will get a steady income, work less so she starts fading from public memory and then quit working altogether.Plus, they can get body enhancements without paying for them..the company shells out the dough
How many movies has Teagan put out since she signed a contract?

Since getting her contract Teagan has gotten implants and has had a nose job.
As far as I can tell the best way to make a lot'o'money for the girls is to feature-dance, and probably the best advertising is to be a Porn! Star! The amount the contract pays may not even matter - that's just advertising to drive up rates for dancing.
The other thing is that not all of these girls have steel assholes. Keri may believe/realize she'll suffer an O-ring Blowout eventually at this rate (Mila, anyone?). If she stays in shape and avoids drugs she ought to have a 10-15 career feature dancing, whereas porn careers just don't last that long.
