Julia Ann (in a hideous brunette fright wig for the first few scenes) plays Amanda Banks, fading Hollywood star, who, in an attempt to revitalize her sagging career, accepts the lead role in an ‘edgy’ film called “Skinflick”, where she’ll play a porn star. Life imitating art, and all. Being a method actress, she decides to visit the set of a Wicked production to ‘get a feel’ (ahem!) for what it’s like to work in the porn industry. She wanders around the bamboo-laden set (it’s supposed to be some kinda safari theme- there’s so much cheetah skin in this thing, it looks like a Roger Corman LSD trip. Even the fuckin’ dildoes are cheetah skin!) with her micro-cassette recorder, asking dopey questions. Along the way, she gets to watch a three-way with supermodel cavegirl Aria and bland blonde Stormy, and then appears in another three-way (condom-covered), with an anal twist, with Nicole Sheridan. Then Amber Michaels teaches her the fine art of DP’s via double-dildo lesbo sex. Then some other people fuck, including Asia Carrera, who appears to be ageless. Then she wins an academy award. Roll credits.

I dunno, I generally think Wicked flicks are for sissies, and this on does nothing to challenge that theory. The sex scenes all look like the daydreams of soap opera-addicted housewives, and the girls are done up to look so flawless, they look more like anatomically correct mannequins than real girls. Aria is, of course, amazing- I’m pretty sure she’s really a sex robot from outer space- but otherwise, I’m pretty sure you could watch this one with yr grandma, and nothing would seem amiss.
