There's a story on LIB that Staph and CuckDrew are being sued by a copyright troll, and are now asking their troglodytes for donations. I would have thought that all those years of heavy-handed moderators and admins would prevent them from this stuff, but they got rung up anyway. So much for Hardware and his mod stick. So much for bobo-one (translation: back to stocking Safeway shelves), so much for banning 3/5th of their users. Wasn't there one dude on that site who logged over 65,000 posts in 5 years? He should be sending his entire paycheck for the next month. Oh wait, that might have been Denver Don...never mind.

Given they were such self professed geniuses of the internet and were always bragging how the website was profitable since the first day it was up, I'm surprised they didn't know they were required to do certain things and weren't bright enough to have a legal contingency fund established. But realistically, wouldn't it be cheaper for them to toss the lawful copyright enforcement agent(s) a bone and make it all go away?

Staph and CuckDrew went on vacation for a few weeks. The ADT protocol was to entrust their password XL file to one of the mods. They had a password file because most of the whores who signed up were too cracked out to remember, so they kept a list of every user.

This time they entrusted it to their most senior mod, Denver Don. Well, old Don managed to let his PC get hacked, and the usernames and passwords of every user at the time was compromised. Not only did they tell people to change their passwords, they said that, if you used the same combo on other sites (like the bank), they were in jeopardy. They fired Don over the incident.

What a bunch of fucking idiots. I demanded an apology, and got banned instead. They still sat in their tower pretending they were the shit. What a bunch of fucking animals.

Staph and cuckDrew, I'll be happy to mail money to your home. Send us the address. I hope a sock of pennies will suffice.

Given that anyone can have their computer hacked, and as I recall, ADT's server has gone down a time or two courtesy of hackers, it seems pretty shitty to publicly berate an unpaid volunteer when it happens. I suppose that helped deflect the blame for the unencrypted password system the couple set up away from themselves at the time but even the premise of this latest threat to their cash cow website seems curious.

Once upon a time, such forums were a fine way to keep up with our favorite performers or others but then came My Space, Facebook, Twitter, and all sorts of social media that don't rely on heavy handed censoring (well, FB aside...). Given how many performers have left participating on such forums when they felt slighted, were not worshiped, or in incredibly rare cases, were not given the usual double standard where they could attack without consequence, do those who remain really think there's an added benefit over the freedom of their own social media accounts?

The suggestion that ADT's forums, which experts tell me get over 80% of all traffic to the website as interest in their reviews and price search engine continues to die off, are an "important industry voice" or would leave a void of any kind is amazingly naive (or self serving). Whatever one thinks of reviews in general, the sheer inconsistency of their contributors speaks volumes as to why they'd be better off walking away, the rating inflation to appease some, the sloppy "I wrote this based on reading the box cover" entries by others, and the limited value of content overall sure don't help elevate them as a "voice".

The name they choose itself is archaic now that nobody really buys dvds anymore. Since saying anything critical or negative would be censored or deleted as to not upset advertisers, the reviews are from shills who write just to continue receiving screeners or fools who like everything which means they're worthless for gleaning anything legit to help one make an informed decision on what to purchase. Fuck em.

There is still a market for the DVD format but only as one revenue stream of many, estimates vary considerably. Some of the smaller directors are coasting on the ever diminishing checks for VOD and past titles while desperately hoping their latest title sells enough to break even (500 units in some cases).

As far as the reviews, I wish I could be as ultra positive as one of their reviewers (Bobo) or as much as hack as "Jack" whose reviews are so poor now that I wonder if he even reads the box covers to write them now, no evidence that he even watches the movies at 20X speed given a lack of anything of substance. The rating inflation does seem all over the map too but Sean's not bad and Marv is okay on the oldies.

It was brought to my attention that the website they are using to raise funds is supposed to be for non-profit organizations and they are anti-porn so any of you that want to get a dig in can always go report them as such. I don't know if that would do anything but given how little has been donated, maybe the cheerful couple running the website should have taken the standard settlement offer...

Looks like Staph and cuckDrew got just enough cash to buy a plane ticket to Ecuador. They've called off their fundraising campaign, but not refunded one red cent. Par for the course as these two shitbags are concerned.

You'll love the latest information then. Apparently, they were notified that the lawsuit was going to be dropped but kept their fundraiser going. I don't have access to California's court database anymore to get the detailed information but even if left up an additional week or two, heck, even an extra DAY, sure makes them look like shit. That they claim Bush DVD took a hit of close to $17k but wouldn't send the accumulated proceeds to the company is also indicative of their "fuck off" attitude. Anyone able to verify?
