Sundays I go to https://www.facebook.com/alco.aides for breakfast. Russ cooked the usual eggs, potatoes, bacon, and a biscuit. Orange juice and coffee. Followed by a meeting.

Can brunch be included?

What about supper?

Might as well call it the egg thread unless you want to get into the weird leftovers we eat sometimes. Who is in for pizza for breakfast?

I've made breakfast pizza and loved it. With bacon, eggs, cheese, mushrooms and green onions. I quickly learned that you have to put the raw eggs on the pizza after you've slid it off the pizza peel onto the stone. It wasn't a complete disaster when I tried sliding the pizza off with the eggs on it, but they did mostly wind up on one side of the pizza.

I have some grits in the cabinet from when a few strippers came back from the club and wanted grits and steak for breakfast. I let them make the grits and the were pretty nasty. I told them they tasted like runny, gritty polenta.

As in "My Cousin Vinny", grits have to cook for 20 minutes. They are a staple of the Gods prepared and salted, peppered and buttered correctly.

the breakfast pizza I was referring to is the kind left on the counter or in the oven overnight and then eaten leftover. Sometimes it is sobering.

I knew what you meant about pizza for breakfast, I just took it another direction. As for pizza left on the counter all night, why is that it doesn't bother people to eat cold meat/cheese that's been sitting around at room temperature for 12 hours? I wouldn't eat a sandwich that's been sitting out all night, but I'm fine with pizza.

I don't know for sure but I'd say olive oil and tomato sauce for the win.

I know...somehow it's in a box we can put in an oven. One time we forgot one in the oven for over a week and it started to stink. Clearly we were not in college and starving anymore and it was my ex-wife. She said "how could you put it in the oven" and I said "why haven't you cooked for a week".

Overnite pizza rules. A slice wrapped in tinfoil discovered in the fridge 3 days later...priceless.

maniacs.....instead of the oven use a covered frying pan...low heat for over 5 minutes then when the cheese starts to melt take it it to 8-9 for a crispy crust..

If you cook bacon on a skillet and leave the skillet sitting on the stove fir well over a month with the residual bacon grease you can cook eggs in the bacon grease with no bad effects. fact.

I do a bacon- ranch pasta salad that I usually just buy the precooked bacon bits. This time I tried just baking the bacon in the oven. 15 minutes under 400F heat on aluminum foil and they were absolutely perfect. Threw the foil in the garbage and was done. Easy to fix and easy cleanup.

Pizza for breakfast if Im hungover. Better in a toaster oven to reheat than a microwave. But most breakfasts for me are large amounts of one type of fruit. Today it was papaya.

They say the best way to reheat pizza is in a covered skillet on a medium burner for 5 minutes or so.

papaya gives me aids,even with lemon and hot sauce.give me mango instead.

I was clearing out some old folders on the hard drive and came across a pic of a breakfast pizza I made a while back. As I recall, this was quite delicious.

It's homemade dough, but I don't have the recipe handy. Generally though, I take a less is more approach with pizza dough In addition the required flour and water, I add salt, a little light olive oil and some honey, but not a lot of yeast. Then after kneading and making dough balls, it's good to let the yeast slowly ferment the dough for 2-3 days in the fridge. Getting your oven as hot as possible and preheating a pizza stone in it for an hour helps the dough spring up with you put it in the oven.

There's something about a big bubble on the crust that just works for me.

I hand stretch the dough and only pop the bubbles while stretching it out if there's one in the middle. Some people hate the bubbles and use what's called a "dough docker" to put holes across the whole surface of the dough to eliminate them. I hate cracker thin dough with no air in it.

I give McDonald's Steak & Egg McMuffin the thumbs up. I don't know if it's new nationwide, but this is the first time I've tried one. The grilled onions put it over the top for me.

BTW, if you don't like the folded scrambled egg patties that they put on some of their breakfast sandwiches, you can sub in one of the real, round eggs they use on the McMuffins.

I used to really love the "Spanish omelette Bagel" even though it was nothing like a spanish omelette. But it was the best out of a wicked-quick outlet in the Staten Island Ferry terminal when I used to live there. Both the outlet and the product have disappeared, as have I. But that was a hung-over commuter's breakfast.

When I was going to work either hung over or still drunk from the night before, Coffee and a Tastycake Brownie or a Lemon Pie was about all I could handle.

All of the McBagels are gone up here. Same with the breakfast chicken biscuit they had for a while. Just the standard McMuffins, Biscuit sammiches, McGriddles, etc.

I dunno what I just made, but it was great. I cooked some bacon in a large non-stick fry pan and then threw some whole small yellow potatoes in and covered the pot and let that cook for half an hour or so while I watched football, occasionally stirring it. I also added garic salt, onion powder and red chili flakes as well as salt and pepper. When the potatoes where soft, I dabbed out most of the bacon grease with a paper towel and smooshed the potatoes down until the whole thing was a flat disc. Then I mixed in some green onions and white cheddar and mixed that up for a bit and let it cook. Finally, I poured in a whole container of SouthWestern Egg Beaters and mixed that up until it started to set. I turned up the temp to form a crust for a bit, covered it and took it off the burner to set while watching more football. It was great.

Fucking McDonald's discontinued the Steak & Egg McMuffin breakfast sammich. Dammit. That thing was awesome. It was like a regular Egg McMuffin with a small phillysteak on it. I'm thinking of emailing them with my latest genius idea.

I think every major metropolitan area should have 1 Super McDonald's that has every goddamn item McDonald's makes that has ever been popular and sell them all of the time. McRib's, Steak & Egg McMuffins, breakfast bagels, chicken biscuit sandwiches, the old fries made with beef tallow. Shit, I still miss the McDLT. And I may be the only person in the world who liked the McLean, the low-fat burger that was moistened with seaweed juice.

And I don't care what it takes, but this goddamn Super McDonald's will have breakfast 24 hours a day. I don't care if I have to drive to the other side of town or if the food takes a little longer to make.

I just saw a commercial saying Burger King is bringing back the Yumbo from the 70s. Hot ham and cheese on a long seeded roll.

Fuck me, that was good. I bought an electric pressure cooker recently and have made a couple of awesome dinners with it. But, then I wound up with all this extra shit in my fridge...so, breakfast! It's all about layers, bitches: A layer of pressure cooked potatoes seasoned with herbs de provence, smooshed and made crispy in a buttered skillet, then topped with some delicious pressure cooked, grass-fed beef chili, green onions, shredded Tillamook cheddar melted under the broiler, diced white onions, two fried eggses and drizzled with some Tiger Sauce.

I had Chinese Christmas Eve. Damned good. Local buffet. Gals can barely speak English but know how to say Merry Christmas.

An everything frittata. Can't have dairy at the moment, so no cheese.

And it's done after 40min. in the oven. Pico de gallo, mushrooms, diced peppers, 2 kinds of sausage (one middle eastern, one chicken & spinach), broccoli, asparagus, green onion and like 7 eggs.

Yesterday scrambled eggs and polish sausage.
Today leftover sub sandwich and cup of noodles.

Campbells black bean soup and a pork cutlet on a bun.

Scrambled erryday. my mom got me a real nice french press from the church store down the street and i'm fucking loving it. i usually do green tea when i wake up and i'd forgotten how fucking awesome good coffee is.

Grind your own right before brewing. Its the best! Lately I'm all about Ethiopian Yergecheffe. sp?

Gonna try the new sous vide egg bites from Starbucks later. They look like a perfectly good low-carb breakfast choice.

They weren't that great. Underseasoned and just generally unsatisfying. Maybe if I had some salt/pepper/ketchup or something, but I ate these while I was driving and just didn't enjoy them at all.

I alternate bagels with oatmeal these days. One day a bagel the next oatmeal. I usually try to eat a high protein lunch.

I tried the spicy chorizo bfast sand from starbucks last week. Surprisingly good.

Breakfast for Nikita Denise is two Bud Lights and a bottle of Korbel. No joke.
