Its a decent first attempt at... what?.. Gospel Rap?
Definitely not for my playlist, but likely there is a market for it in the US bible belt.
They even like
Baby Preachers after all.
So why not this?
"Lord I want you, Lord I need you
Between us, don't like surprises
don't like trusting anybody
so I built a wall
and I don't take calls
I love to stall
And that was my downfall
I know I know I know
I'm a little hasty
....
Lord I want you"
Not sure whether she is hasty or stalling, just as I'm not sure whether there is profit or prophet to be had with rhythm and poetry doggerel.
But it can give her something to sell at those middle-America-traveling-big-tent-born-again-speakers-rally-revival-meetings, and Tea Party shin digs.
Wish her luck, even if you see this music as proof that there is no god, she can still carve her niche parting fools from their money for that great gaseous bearded pimplord of infinite heft out in space, by selling it to the heartland.
