That's the way it looks. I'm told by an associate via e-mail that Pounder, who was at the Cal OSHA meeting in Costa Mesa Thursday, has been bragging:

The email states: "Gene, I just got a phone call from Dave Pounder who is visiting here from Ft. Lauderdale Florida. He says that he is here to testify and counsul the State of California on the application of new regulations in the industry. He told me that the state paid for his flight and a rental car and such. This may just be BS as he is always bragging on his own behalf and never ceases talking about himself."

I wrote this earlier: "In a story appearing on XBiz regarding Thursday's meeting in Costa Mesta where Cal OSHA unanimously voted to approve an advisory committee to consider regulating the adult industry, the following sentence caught our eye:

"Adult content producer David Pounder also was in attendance, as an advocate of mandatory condoms for adult productions. During his commentary to the board, Pounder admitted that he does not always utilize condoms in his own productions."

That being said, if Pounder has autonomy on his shoots and elects to go without condoms, then he comes off as a publicity-grabbing hypocrite who's riding this story's coattails just to get his name in print."
