And yes, if you have travelled at all in Asia you will have encountered the corn pizza. The Japanese fucking love sweet corn kernels on pizza. It's an abomination, to be sure, but don't dismiss corn on pizza.

Alex, you're not stuck with the location of that gas range. Just because a moron installed it in the wrong place doesn't mean you're stuck with it.
The gas range can be moved -- you simply need a longer hose for the gas input. Pick up your countertop, slide the existing cabinets down into the space where the range used to be, and plop the range on the other end of the cabinets so's you can open the door.
While it's out, strip that fucker down and clean it. A range ought to be thoroughly cleaned every six months. In your photos there's grease and whatnot dripping down into the nether reaches of the gap between the range and the cabinets. Clean it up!
This would be a good opportunity to clean up all the accumulated gunk and schmutz piled up behind your range and cabinets. And to spray down pesticides to kill the insects undoubtedly living there. Pull that shit out, murder the bugs and sweep their little corpses up a day later.
You'll need new gas hose clamps on both ends of your new, longer gas hose. Don't try to re-use the old, rotten and corroded ones.
Now, New York is wildly overregulated. You probably need five or six permits, a government overseer, and four union goons to help you do all this.
At the end of the day, though, you'll have an oven you can actually use, and a little encouragement to live like an actual human being. Step into the light, Alex!

I've been over at Sears today and they have really good ovens there, all kinds of oven, like 3 ovens in 1 oven with all kinds of drawers and things. They also had nice fridges and feezers, like a chest freezer that can be used to store ice cream and popsicles.

I'm trying to help out the other residents. Alex has told us he can't open the door of his oven because some jerk stuck it into some kind of corner (or his apartment is only 42" deep). Ask the salesman where the dented-goods area is. Sometimes they channel those goods off to a single store for clearance, or at a larger store it would be in the back corner. White goods appliances dent during transit, display on the floor, or delivery to a customer's home. Then they are rejected by stupid yuppies who want a "perfect" range to stuff into their cabinetry. Sears sells these goods at a deep discount.
You can save hundreds of dollars by being willing to live with a dent or bump nobody's ever going to see.

Some tools are better priced on the internet. It is good place for specialty tools and attachments. But their 20% + 10% off promos for appliances are really good deal. Pretty much in Brookly there is 1 Sears, bunch of P.C. Richard & Sons ripp-off places and small appliance stores. Sears has the best prices and deals on appliance for Brooklyn. Lots of Russians go to P.C. Richards thinking that they are getting and unbeatable deal. PC Richard is kinda like a modern day Wiz.

Yeah, I know that it exists but they don't sell it in NYC area. They also have(or used to have) a pasta kit with pasta, sauce and cheese: only $0.05 per serving (according to 60's TV ad).

The thing about Boyardee's Mac&Cheese is that it is just too salty. I ate it raw from the can, but even if I heated it up it would still be salty. I use store brand Mac & Cheese dinners, sometimes I can get them 2 for $1.00 and they have 0.7 more ounces of maccaronies than the Kraft's Mac & Cheese. I weighted both of them on my digital precision scales.
