North Korea has now done something that no other nuke power has ever done. It threatened to use nuke weapons OFFENSIVELY.
North Korea behaved under Bush and it more than likely would have under McCain. As soon as Odumba got elected, it was game on with the nukes. They see weakness in him, and rightly so.

Has anyone wondered why overpaid union autoworker jobs are so precious that they must preserved at all costs to taxpayers but the jobs at the 1000+ car dealships being shut down mean less than nothing. Auto tech and salespeople jobs are middle class, a group Obammy is supposed to care about. Hmmm, what could it be? It's not like thew corrupt UAW is one of Obama/Democrats biggest cash cows.
It's also interesting all bankruptcy precedents were ignored and the UAW was put at the head of the line (instead of creditors/bond holders). Gee, I just don't get it.
I saw a news story today where a lady employed at one of the closing dealerships was weeping and said "this isn't the change I voted for". Dumb cunt. Serves her right

Odumba's socialist healthcare plan is going to cost so many additional trillions that we don't have (in 5 months he's printed/borrowed the max for several generations), that his team of amateurs is concerned about how it will look in the short term. They want to take the unheard of step of not using figures generated by the non-politicised CBO (Congressional Budget Office) to write and propose the bill. They want to use their own cooked up figures - lol. They don't care that their grand schemes would break the country's back. On the contrary, they feel that only by wrecking our capitalist/free market system will they will be able to permanently install a green pc socialist welfare state.
I'm starting to feel upbeat about our country's direction. These leftist pukes are severely OVERREACHING. A critical mass is starting to form. The backlash will be sweet. They've increased the power of government so much that it can be used to crush them the next time it changes hands.

That son of a bitch Obama won't issue a statement in support of the students being shot in Iran or against their oppressive government. He's in a holding pattern. Ready to take credit for spurring on the movement if anything comes of it. And ready to negotiate with the oppressive government if they snuff out the protests.
It's not exactly "tear down this wall, Mr Gorbechov". Even George H.W. Bush was quick to support the freedom seeking protesters of Tianenmen Square and condemn the brutal socialist Chinese government. It didn't end up meaning anything though. You see, his successor Clinton indirectly took money from the Chinese government and ordered the security establishment to stand down and look the other way as the Chincs stole ALL of our weapons technology. Without a statement of support for the protesters from the US, the movement will die a quick death. The Iranians want the type of democracy we gifted to Iraq at a great sacrifice to ourselves. In Iran's case, no sacrifice is necessary. The whole thing just fell into Obama's lap, but he's too stupid and too much of a coward to take advantage of it. He doesn't understand that the current Iranian government won't be moved by his "charisma" (lol). He thinks he's so smart that he'll be able to just talk them into giving up nukes and bending to his will. He's naive, deluded and believes his own press.

Actually, by showing restraint and allowing the Iranians to resolve this internally, he is respecting their sovereignty. Coming out with a strong statement before this is allowed to play itself out would be foolhardy and Obama knows this. He is a consummate planner - almost never makes a move without fully plotting the consequences.
Furthermore, it is not our place to push "democracy" onto other nations. We can only set examples, plant ideas, and then hope other countries will at least adopt some basic principles.

Iraq was entirely different. A nationally acknowledged sociopath had been running that country for a couple of decades. As for that aspect of the whole Iraqi/US issues, Iraq had already acknowledged they couldn't do it themselves.

Wrong. The modern thinking Iranians hate everything about their Stone Age Muslim government. They'd welcome any support from the outside world. Everyone else couldn't possibly hate America more. It's a no lose situation for anyone who wants to rile them up with pro-freedom/pro-democracy messages.
Nations have been contemplating a major offensive against Iran because of the serious nuke threat it poses. That said, it is totally irresponsible to not take advantage of this golden opportunity to destabilize their government.
Besides rhetoric, I'd like to see some creative covert ops. If I were DDP (deputy director for plans) of "the company", I'd start by providing funding and equipment for the protesters to run a pirate radio station to get out their message.

What people fail to see is that The Great Messiah is no more interested in Democracy than were the leaders of the Soviet Union, Spain & China. King Barack is interested in power for the sake of power, just as outlined in 1984. He would be glad to make use of democracy to ascend into power, but he has virtually no interest in a working democracy. So he cares virtually nothing about those who seek liberty in Iran. It is more likely that he admires the Mullahs, the former soviet premiers and men like Mao for their ability to hold power and make people believe that it is for their own good. He wants to talk with the dictators without conditions because he admires them, and dislikes democracy, except for it's ability to be his stepping stone to power. Depending on how elections come out in 2010, if he keeps his rubber-stamp congress, it would not be the least bit surprising that he would seek to overturn the presidential term limit, and attempt to keep himself in power at length. The sheeple are so sleepy, that they would agree to it, as long as he keeps the government money coming. This is not a stupid man. He is a dangerous man, and if people do not wake up soon, it will be too late.

Does anyone remember how Obongo denounced the Bush administration for having held "secret energy meetings" with oil executives at the White House and how he pledged pledged to usher in a "new era" of openess. Well, last week he met secretly with coal executives to discuss "clean coal" policies. Freedom of Information Act requests for Secret Service logs showing the identities of coal executives were denied by thew White House because "the disclosure of such records might impinge on privileged 'presidential communications.'". Whatever.
This hypocrisy reminds me of how he attacked McCain for wanting to tax healthcare (it was a lie) and now he himself is proposing to tax healthcare. It's like the pot calling the kettle negro.

Today Odumba is signing the Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act. Isn't it nifty how busybody do-gooder liberals want to control your behavior for you. Wasn't including the word "family" was a nice touch? The bill will allow liberal bureaucrats to decide HOW MUCH NICOTINE will be in tobacco products and which FLAVORS SHOULD BE BANNED. Maybe next Odumba should do the Family Alcohol Act to decide what proof alcoholic beverages can be and to get rid of the ones that are too tasty. The family smokes bill will also require that HUGE danger signs on every tobacco label or package - LOL. I'm sure many of you haven't heard that smoking is unhealthy.

PS: Now that the liberals have succeeded in banning smoking almost everywhere (including on other people's private property) and in putting huge taxes on cigs, they have used junk science (again) to come up with a new way to increase their control over you. You're going to start to hear about the dangers of "THIRD HAND SMOKING" - lol. Third hand smoking occurs when you smell smoke on someone who has previously smoked in another place (like outside). If you can tell that they have recently smoked, that means they are exposing you to poisons!!! In the not too distant future having the whiff of smoke on you at the wrong time (like when kids or workers are near) will be like having alcohol in your system at the wrong time (like when driving). Illegal!!! It will NEVER stop. It's about CONTROL.

As far as Odumba wanting to control everything, I saw something on Jim Lehrer Friday where Odumba has floated the idea of taxing alcohol and sugary beverages to help pay for his trillion dollar effort to kill privatized health insurance. Now, alcohol is an old stand-by when the government has decided they want to sneak in their pockets a couple more billion dollars. You get the bible thumping constituency clapping every time you do that. That's old news. But, Odumba, he wanna place special taxes on Coca Cola and Hi-C fruit juices now. You gotta love this guy!
