been playing a decent amount of gran turismo 4 these past few months.gonna buy a pagani zonda tonight.  also plan on doing some drifting with my hks s15 on the tsukuba wet circuit. they shouldve had race queens in gt4.  never knew the koreans had them too

Meh, for a game that was released in 2005, Lugaru looks worse than Quake 3. And the NPCs are wooden. Perhaps mods and/or engine updates might fix those deficiencies, but for now... I really don't like it.
I was pleasantly surprised by Aquaria, though. I wasn't expecting much, but it's fun. The game has elements from LOOM and Metroid, amongst others.

It's far more simplistic than Aquaria. I dunno, it's been ages since I played it. I brought it up because it has a similar aimless and aquatic feeling. I admit I haven't been playing with Aquaria much.
I have been playing Lead & Gold. Team based wild west themed shooter. Highly recommended.

Have a few days off and tired of travelling so I thought I'd get a new game to help waste some time. After a few hours searching Amazon and surfing the net I couldn't find a single new game I was interested in playing. I decided to buy a new BBQ grill instead. Maybe I'm turning into an old man. I'm scared.

PLayed FF11 today again. Final Fantasy 11. I don't know how vid gamers are fat asses, because for me, time passes so fast I forget everything in reality like omg I'm hungry.

Nothing was wrong with Quake 3. I played q3test and I purchased the game shortly after it was released. I never got into vanilla Q3, but I played and enjoyed several mods: Urban Terror, True Combat, and Western Quake 3.
I mentioned Q3 because I wouldn't expect a game that was released in 2005 (Lugaru) to look worse than one that came out in 1999 (Q3). I typically don't want to play 3D games with worse graphics than Q3-era tech unless they're particularly noteworthy (e.g. Drakan -- given a choice between a sword-wielding, dragon-riding girl and a bunny with a stick, which one would you choose?  ). And Q3 [mods] can still look very nice with trilinear filtering, 16x AF, FSAA, etc.

How old is that game?. I don't care if it's from the 70s they were way too pc with the fighters name. It should have been Kimbo1, Kimbo2, Kimbo3, vs Kunta1, Kunta2,Kunta3..etc..
Video game devolopers need to realize that niggers killing each other isn't real violence to the modern consumer and thus it doesn't need to be rated.It's like a mannequin massacre, who cares?.

I'm getting back into Neverwinter Nights again to replay some excellent third-party modules.
After playing pen & paper D&D for the first time a while ago, I have a newfound appreciation for PC games that use the ruleset. This stuff is complicated and proceeds very slowly when it's done manually. There's a certain appeal to it, though.

I've been playing Space Rangers 2.
It's a space shooter/trader sim with RTS elements and text adventure elements. It's bizarre and really fun.
The last 2 missions I had were to successfully run a ski resort and trying to win a pizza making contest.
I have skipped over the RTS missions because I hate that kind of game so no comment on if it's any good.
Read some reviews because it's a bit hard to describe properly. I recommend it though.

I went ahead and got "Red Dead Redemption" but I've been too busy at work to give it much attention. My initial thoughts are that it is a very good video game.

Most recent purchases:
Silent Hunter 3: This is an elaborate submarine simulator. All of the subs are German. It's kind of a slow paced game but multiplayer is an absolute blast.
Silent Hunter Wolves of the Pacific (4): Same deal, controls are more complex and you get American subs.
If you like submarines and are up for a challenge I highly recommend this series.
Blazing Angels 2: Secret Missions of WWII: This is a flight simulator, you can control it more arcade style or more realistically using the cockpit. I just bought this today so I don't have much to say about it aside from I'm enjoying it.
Battlefield: Bad Company 2: I'm very impressed with the single player and suck terribly at the multiplayer. I say it's a good game but don't bother with the Vietnam expansion pack because it's just multiplayer maps.
Bloody Good Time: This is multiplayer only and was made by the team who made The Ship. If that means nothing to you I would skip this game, but it is a good deal at 5 bucks.
Mount and Blade:Warband: Totally awesome, I have nothing bad to say about this game. I never tried the single player but the multiplayer is amazing.
Star Wars: Jedi Knight Academy: Do you like star wars? You'll like this.
Torchlight: Very similar to diablo but better looking and somehow more charming. Kind of mindless but also fun.
Dark Messiah of Might and Magic: Fucking awesome. If the idea of a first person melee combat game appeals to you this is the game for you.
Precursors: Very Russian, am enjoying it so far but not really sure where it's headed.
Alpha Protocol: Despite having a broken sneaking system it was really fun to play an espionage themed RPG.
There is more but that's enough for now.

I am a bit annoyed about that as well but fable was was pretty poorly ported to PC. I am running a good machine and my inventory still took way too long to load once I had amassed a few things.

So, got a new Logitech MX 518 Gaming-Grade Optical Mouse and going back to first person shooters for a while.
My old guild is begging me to come back to Warcraft to do the new expansion with them, but...
