You're missing the point if you think that since I made good money over the years, I should finance my entire defense, and not ask for any help from others in the biz.
For starters, I've already spent a couple of hundred grand, and expect to spend much more. More importantly though, I've fighting the feds not just for me, but for the entire industry. If I win, we ALL win. We have to defeat these guys before they get a few convictions under their belt, because then they'll have justified their campaign, and will push ahead with more prosecutions. Don't know how much simpler I can put it brother.
The question remains...

Max, we all applaud your efforts to fight these charges regarding material with only consenting adults participating. But I find it diffucult to see why YOU do not take the stand and defend yourself and your content. Yes, it is your right to remain silent. Could it be that if you testified under oath then a guilty verdict would be almost a slam dunk.
Also, do you agree with your attorney that content like that of CHILDSUPERMODELS .com deserves the same protection as sites with consenting adults?
Why are you not willing to take the stand and defend YOUR content and the industry?

First off, I feel your agenda is to bring in "childsupermodel" and Max together as if they have some common interest, other then the fantasy aspect of the situation. Max's stuff is made by adults, for adults, starring adults, whether or not the individual who is watching his videos is fantasizing about an adult or a child, is something the Government SHOULD NEVER involve it's self, right or wrong, the privacy of an individual to enjoy whatever he wishes in the "content of his psyche" is vital to having a "free country" I have no problem with prosecuting people who cross this line however, and that should always be enforced to keep young kids as safe as possible; otherwise you may as well as put 90% of the fashion industry and TV industry in jail for the sexualized use of young teens.
It's really very simple, when two "ADULT" are participating, do you want the government to control what adults decide in their minds by sexual fantasy or expression?
Sorry, but "my expression" is vital in my ability to be a free individual, thats just not for me!

I won't be contributing...AND I HOPE YOUR READING THIS MAX....Ed Powers gives a great deal for his content on his website, if it was for his defense, I would contribute(not that he does anything that the goverment would come after for, besides he's just an example).But your Maxhardcore.com website really does not serve the custemor well in terms of content provided.....You don't get much other then some clips, and if you want full-length stuff with enough content to pick and choose from, you have to go and get it pay-per-view....Krap man, at least offer something like $30 a month to view a bunch of your content....So many people out-there offer it but you don't. Well folks, After 2 months, I haven't been ordered to report to prison, but I expect it to be soon. I may stay out while the formal appeal works it way through the courts, but I'll only know that after I'm ordered to surender. I just want to briefly recap why people in our business, and those who enjoy porn, should be 100 percent behind this case whether they like the material or not. There are those in power who would like to see all porn banned, and all pornographers put in prison. But that's not practical, so like most other crimes they go after those who are vulnerable and make examples out of them to discourage others from doing the same thing. If it wasn't for me and others who make movies that are on the fringe, the feds would have indicted more mainstream guys like John Stagliano. Companies like Red Light, Jules Jordan, and Hustler. They'd also likely go after the high-end guys like Vivid, Digital Playground, and Wicked, because all of them put out plenty of comp tapes, any one of which could be charged. I'm catching the flack that's coming no matter what. The only way to slow them down is to beat 'em in court, and make them back up and re-evaluate their strategy. If I were working at any of the companies above, I would have contributed to this case. As for the fans, the same thing applies, no matter what kind of stuff you like, it's better protected with someone like me fighting them out front. A roommate of mine years ago (in the early 90's) while I was living in SF was into Max's brand of porn. I thought it was disgusting. I've been lurking a bit. I had asked my boyfriend (I'm female) yesterday if he knew where I could find Hustler magazine pdf's (I usually finish to the phone sex ads, what's it to you?) and he asked if I knew that Max Hardcore had been arrested and is possibly getting 4 years. I ended up here while trying to learn more about the case. I had some mixed feelings about the whole thing. This thread has been pretty thought-provoking, and I thought I'd just add a few things. This sort of thing is a slippery slope. Obscenity charges have no reason to exist since the public is obviously capable of determining what they think is obscene or not on their own.
