CHATSWOTH, Calif. - After four years of distribution by New Sensations, Bill Witrock’s Real Sex Magazine series will be going out to wholesalers from the producer’s own company, WW Productions, Inc.
Witrock told AVN.com that his distribution arrangement with New Sensations was terminated by owner Scott Taylor, who informed him that he wished to distribute only product that was owned by New Sensations or Digital Sin (with the notable exception of Shane’s World).
“We are concentrating on releasing on our own material,” Taylor confirmed to AVN.com.
So Witrock, after a long career as strictly a producer, is setting up his first distribution network.
“I’m a production guy, it’s not easy for me,” Witrock said. “I’m looking for an experienced salesman and I’m going to need a warehouse guy.” Meanwhile he continues to sell his product through his mail order and web operations.
The first release from WWP will be Real Sex Magazine 62, with four scenes of youthful porn beginners, just as soon as Witrock has his distribution up and running.
Witrock started the series in 1996. It was very briefly distributed by Hollywood Video before he signed a deal with Legend Video that lasted four years. He teamed up with New Sensations in February, 2001.
During that time Witrock carved himself a niche in the young girl (18-21) video market before it was as glutted as it is now. His series can claim the first-ever adult video appearances of more than 100 young women, including such current stars as Tera Patrick (billed as “Brooke”), Belladonna, Aurora Snow, Gauge, Avy Scott, and Brittaney Starr.
Real Sex Magazine twice won the XRCO’s Best Pro-Am series award and has been a perennial AVN Awards nominee in that category.
“Bill has one of the premier pro-am series,” New Sensations’ Taylor said, “as evidenced by all the [AVN] nominations. I was very pleased to have him with us for as long as we did.”
