That sort of shit is disappointing and any time someone gets banned for something that isnt the outright scary stalker behaviour of say Outsider/Swami... all I can think about is if it would have happened in the 2003/04 incarnation of this board, and if it really has become exactly what it was built to spite.

No disrespect meant to Gia, as she knows i respect her a lot and like her as a person. But it very much came off as a "i don't like her so i'm banning her" type of thing, which is antithetical to the spirit of XPT. Did she derail a couple threads... sure... who on this board hasnt? if that was an offense worth banning why is Darrah still posting... or... any of us really. Was she a prolific poster in a short amount of time? sure.... but once again... when did that become a bannable offense on XPT? Was it possible she was someones alt id.... sure, mind you very elaborate if so.... but even then... How many posters on here have their share of alt id's.
All i am saying is the slope is slippery...

Sure, it's unfair that I banned her because she was annoying, but most people thought she was annoying. See? I'm doing the board a favor. Jeff put Bad Habit in the penalty box for no other reason than he felt he was annoying. It's unfair and illogical, but the impetuous nature of this joint keeps you on your toes. This isn't a 'omg she gets more attention than me' move. There are a few male posters I am close to banning for no reason other than the fact that their retardation is ruining the board.

2. 'I'm doing the board a favor.' I sincerely disagree with you. And since when have you been designated to 'do the favors' around here? (Unasked favors are not my favourite.)
3. The comparison with Jeff/Bad Habit isn't valid. The Penalty Box is not the same as banning.
4. 'Their retardation is ruining the board' Pot & kettle. Besides, I still like XPT as it is. Maybe you can try to 'upgrade XPT away from retardation' by posting instead of banning?

I think the biggest problem i had with her was that she was posting in the wrong goddamn forum...most of the stuff should have been posted on the forum that didn't have anything to porn...according to her she didn't watch porn or really like porn...so if she was wanting to break into porn she should have just been truthful about it instead of her faux-innocent 'what's a creampie?" shit...i was willing to give her a chance but i really didn't see the point of her being on a porn board when she supposedly had no interest in it whatsoever...i know i might not bring a lot of substance to the board but my stance is i enjoy porn, reading about porn whores, and so on...i have been on a seesaw for a lot of my adult life because i would go through phases where i felt guilty about enjoying it due to being a feminist...but i have come to terms with the fact i will never not enjoy it...oh, and i do believe you can be a feminist and love porn...only the feminist porn out there is boring and gross...i want an attractive whore gagging on it

There's a point where the "scroll past/ignore" routine becomes impossible.
Folks, if you really want to have someone here who posts 100 times a day (yes, look as the signup date and the number of posts), we can. Do you realize how many posts that amounts to in a whole year? Tens of thousands. If you read the entire board, there are already several hundred new posts a day.
Personally, I'd rather get rid of this trashbag, take away Fatman's pills and get him a new laptop.
And I love Rob Longshot chiming in about how it was in the "old days" when the biggest dipshit on the board was Sportswami. Rob got into so many protracted days of posting we had to ban him for his own good when he moved to Florida. He was and is a total attention whore posting addict: he has to post about everything and anything.
Taking out alt-ids, the ratio of banned users to total is ridiculously low here. All the PAFH's, Darths, Applesaucer's, Drpornz's, Mr. Poo's, Smartt's...would you really rather have these people back on board? C'mon...

Certainly, the number of post per day/week is something to take into account. That's one of the reasons I like XPT a lot: I have the chance to catch up with most threads every day and it doesn't cost me half a day.
But this poster was banned within 24 hours; smartt, Darth and several others had a lot more time to settle in (and eventually fuck up).
But neither of the reasons you give, were mentioned by Gia for the banning of the OP of this thread.
FWIW, I'd rather see the return of Fatman than 5 new posting members joining XPT. But beggars can't be choosers, I guess...
