Aurora Snow and the Demi the Demoness cast will be at the Comic-Con: San Diego
Aurora Snow will be at the Carnal Comics booth (1615) on July 26th (Saturday). Throughout the Convention, the Demi the Demoness movie will be promoted at the booth. SS Crompton (the creator of Demi the Demoness) will be at the Carnal Comics booth each day. Sinn Sage (Vampirooni) and Audrey Elson (Lyssa the Witch) will be signing Demi DVDs. Comic-Con International: San Diego 2008 is being held at the San Diego convention center.

Audrey Elson (Lyssa the Witch) appeared on Friday. Aurora Snow had 2 signings on Saturday. In between the 2 signings, Aurora Snow, Richard Abowitz and myself were videotaped walking through the dealer room for a couple of hours. The camera man was also videotaping the signings as well. Sinn Sage (Vampirooni) did signings on Saturday and Sunday. Tricia Devereaux came by to visit the booth on Sunday. On myspace, I have 21 photos of people at the Carnal Comics booth during the last Comic-Con. There were other x-rated actresses at Comic-Con 2008. I photographed Caroline Pierce at the Steel Web Studios booth. Tera Patrick signed on Saturday at one of the booths. I never said anything about people attending and being porn stars or having a porn star past... It just is another whole level of classlessness having someone known for nothing more than her ability to shove two dicks up her ass at once signing pictures at a dealer booth at a convention where a large portion of the attendees are kids. Its not like she's some big household name either, or was upstairs at a panel that might check IDs at the door. There's a billion fucking porn conventions and strip clubs she could sign at where fans would come specifically to meet a porn star. It just adds a whole level of bottom feeding to what used to be a cool convention; a place where my dad took me when I was 13 to buy toys, or four years ago had issues with dealers selling Air Soft guns. This is a show where fucking SNOOPY and THE PEANUTS GANG shows up and takes pictures with three year old kids next to a booth like this. But then again, I must be a fucking idiot for expecting any sort of integrity or class from porners.  Quote:

Carnal Comics does not allow children to buy comic books
at the booth. At this Comic-con, there was an incident
in which 2 girls, who were 16, came by the booth. SS
Crompton asked them what their age was and when they
said that they were 16, he said they were not old
enough to be at the booth. They were understanding and
they politely left.
Over the years, I have seen children come by the booth
and SS Crompton would tell them to leave. He would stop
them before they could even look at any comic books. At
one of the conventions, a Father and his son walked by
the booth and SS Crompton said to the boy, "come back
in 10 years." The boy said "I will" and the boy's Father laughed.
Aurora Snow was signing the preview comic book for
the Aurora Snow biograpy comic book. Carnal Comics
has been at the Comic-Con since 1994. Back in
the 1990s, one of the Comic-Con conventions had as
many as approximatey 10 women signing porn star comic
books.
Comic books are not just for children. In the 1950s, the
EC horror comic books such as Tales From the Crypt had
body dismemberment. The underground comic books of the
1970s had characters such as the Fabulous Furry
Freak Brothers who did drugs and had sex.
People were selling porn magazines at Comic-Con
conventions during the 1980s before Carnal Comics
was ever around. At this Comic-Con, Anime Depot and
Sam Goody were selling XXX anime. There were
other comic book publishers who were selling porn
comic books. NBM and Fantagraphics/Eros Comics were
selling hardcore porn comic books. Avatar was selling
zombie comic books which showed zombies eating people
in gory detail. At times, womens clothes would come off
as the zombies would attack them. There are many
superhero comic books that are softcore porn because of
the scantily clad costumes that women wear.
Wildstorm, which is a branch of DC Comics, publishes
Friday the 13th and Texas Chainsaw Massacre comic
books. These are not comic books intended for chidren.
Do you have a problem with r-rated horror DVDs being
sold at the Comic-Con or is it just sex and nudity you
have a problem with?
The photo with me and Aurora Snow you showed was when I
had bad skin problems. I will admit it's a bad picture
of me. Aurora looks great in the photo. I also weighed
way too much back then. I'm still in the process of
losing weight. Attacking for my appearance reminds of
the tactics that Sean Hannity uses. Hannity will bring
up things about someone that is unrelated to the
subject being discussed. He is worse then Bill
O'Reilly because O'Reilly will at least criticize
someone for what they are saying at the time. Hannity
is a bully.

Yes, I said I'd interview her and I'd do it again. And maybe she'll be at next years if it was such a success I'll now have a year to prepare for it. I'm well aware of the history of comics. I have quite a bit of experience in publishing and small press art releases. I just think its a sleazy thing to do at a show that has that type of family interest and open dealer floor; the shows gone much more mainstream in recent years. Or especially given how itchy of a trigger finger the San Diego Vice Squad has developed in the last few years, especially with material like this. All it takes is one complaint from some "concerned" citizen walking down an aisle to totally fuck yourself from everything from a house raid to a 2257 inspection. There's a million other shows you could promote at without a bunch of kids walking around. You're still a sleazy piece of shit.

Its called time place and manner; after 10 PM, indecent material was totally fine and it aired on a closed circuit television station that students voted in favor for, in a majority in my favor, for material of this kind. The audience and student tax payers spoke as far as I'm concerned. You're entitled to your booth; you paid the exorbitant dealer rates; you're free to sell that faux-devil porn shit all you want at Con. I have no say how they run their event. But that doesn't disqualify you as an ugly piece of shit smut peddler.

I never said that children don't go to the Comic-Con. The convention says they stopped selling memberships at 125,000 people. I didn't go around counting every child at the convention. Even though children were at the convention, many of them could have been there to buy things such as toys. The Comic-Con is very much a media convention. When I was buying comic books, I usually saw adults and teenagers looking at the comic books. You see women attendies at Erotica LA but it's rare that you see women in adult book stores or adult sections of video stores. The percentage of women that go to comic book stores is small but it's higher then the percentage of children that are in them. Airing something after 10pm lessens the number of children watching something but it does not eliminate all children from seeing adult material. When I was a child, I saw R rated movies on TV. Children don't always go to sleep at 10pm. I know a Father that god rid of cable because he didn't want his children seeing Girls Gone Wild commercials on the E! network. Carnal Comics is not showing porn on a TV at
our booth. We do not even have a TV at the
booth. SS Crompton does not have hardcore
images on his comic book covers. For comic
books on open display, rather then in a box,
SS puts stickers over any nudity. SS does
not allow people under 18 to buy his
comic books so therefore they would not
see sex images inside them. When I was
under 18, there were dealers that sold me
porn at the Comic-Con. These dealers were
selling mostly porn and not comic books.
Steve has a zero tolerance policy when it
comes to selling adult material to
people under 18.

The photo seen at that link just shows Snoopy, scaring a kid all by himself. There's no hot girl booth nearby, let alone a Carnal booth.
I DO have a pic of the year Archie Comics was next to the Carnal booth at the San Diego Con. Actresses portraying Betty and Veronica are taking pics with little kids - Betty wears an itty bitty Dogpatch bikini and Veronica wears even less. Next to them at the Carnal booth is porn star Melissa Monet - in a full-length velvet evening gown.
I always instructed the porn stars signing for Carnal to dress modestly for comic shows, and most all complied. I remember when Hyapatia Lee's signing was in the Con program guide, the line to meet her went as far as I could see, while some guy from Babylon 5 or something next door saw maybe five autograph seekers the whole hour.
With all the Japanese porn cartoons and bootleg Traci Lords tapes all over San Diego comic-cons, porn stars signing comics that THEY CO-CREATED should be worry-free. Note that at least the Carnal ladies were indeed creators on their comics - this isn't true of the 9-tenths nekkid girl playing Vampirella next door at the Harris booth, or of Becky Sunshine dressed as Cherry Poptart down the aisle. The girls of Carnal Comics probably have MORE justification to be at a Comic-Con than MOST of the female models playing booth-candy --- at least the Carnal ladies actually made some comics!

a Research Assistant. I would loan books,
magazines and videos that Jay would use as
research for the comic books. I would also

I developed a much greater role when SS
Crompton took over Carnal Comics. I go

Comic-Con for several years during the 1990s.
In 1995, there were 13 porn actresses doing
signings in the autograph area for Carnal
Comics. After 1998 or 1999, the porn star
signings stopped happening until porn stars
appeared at the 2002 Comic-Con.
At the Comic-Con of 2002, Ginger Lynn and
Taylor Hayes promoted Evil Breed: The
Legend of Samhain movie (then known as
Samhain). Tabita Stevens and Inari Vachs
promoted XXX anime at one of the booths.
Since Inari was already at the Comic-Con,
Dan Fogel, the publisher of Hippy Comix,
arranged a signing of her at his booth.
This was the first time I met Inari. She
is one of my favorite porn actresses.
Felecia and Kiki Daire promoted Hippy
comix at Comic-Con 2003. Dan and SS
Crompton published the Felecia comic
book together. Stephanie Swift signed
for Plastic Fantasy. She visited
Hippy Comix and talked to Dan and Steve.
At Comic-Con 2004, Jasmin St. Claire and
Deja Sinn signed at the Carnal Comics booth.
Jasmin also signed for Plastic Fantasy.
In 2005, Aurora Snow made her first
appearance at the Carnal Comics booth.
Inari made another appearance for Hippy
Comix. Aurora signed again for Carnal
Comics at the Comic-Con conventions
for 2007 and 2008. This year, Audrey Elson
and Sinn Sage promoted the Demi the
Demoness movie at our booth as well.
In addition to the Carnal Comics and
Hippy Comix signings, there have been
other signings of porn stars.

In her email, Mary Carey gave me a phone number for someone with the name Steve. She did not say if he was her Manager. She did not give a last name. I assumed that she was referring to you since your first name is Steve. At Comic-Con 2007, the Pervert! I discovered something today. The phone number
that Mary Carey gave me in her email to me was
the public phone number for her campaign
headquarters in 2003. In 2003, Kick Ass
pictures had Steve Volponi as it's Sales
Director. That's probably the Steve she
was referring to in her email. I thinks it's
too bad that Carnal Comics never did a comic
book about her. Jay has a negative opinion
about her and he thinks she makes the x-rated
industry look bad. I think she's a comedian
like Ron Jeremy. Her silliness is part of her
appeal to people who like her. She's one
