Oh shit...you just using the 'H' word reminded me of the last 'movie' (and I use that term lightly) I saw and then tried to erase from my memory...namely Hammer's return to film production under the guiding hand of the guy who gave the world 'Big Brother'.
It's called 'Beyond The Rave', and it's shot in an episodic format so as to be distributed via MySpace and mobile devices. It is pretty poor, to put it lightly.
Here's the first episode
There are twenty episodes in all, the first 18 of which are on YouTube, or you can get all twenty from the film's MySpace page, if you're a MySpace member.
Monstar, I know as a fellow Hammer enthusiast you will want to check this out, and I know my warning will go unheeded, but my advice to you is DON'T DO IT! You will end up somewhere between that weeping Indian advert and Johnny Depp in the last third of 'Once Upon A Time In Mexico'...it's that bad.

no, i know. just from the pix i have seen i have turned a blind eye to it. it just looked like a crapfest. to me, hammer died several decades ago. on the positive side, R1 DVD goodness: October 14, Sony Home Entertainment will release ICONS OF HORROR: HAMMER FILMS which will contain the following Hammer Films classics: THE TWO FACES OF DR. JEKYLL, THE CURSE OF THE MUMMY'S TOMB, THE GORGON and SCREAM (TASTE) OF FEAR.
Expect the set to include trailers and newly remastered transfers. The retail price is $24.96. Cover art and more details coming soon.BTW I still support http://littleshoppeofhorrors.com/last few movies: Tropic Thunder - a'ight Mirrors - about a half an hour too long. not so good. Arianna drug me to it. ..and she actually dug it.

Watched The Tripper from David Arquette last night. I t looked like a decent horror comedy at first but then i watched it. Oh well he still is mr. Courtney Cox  How can you screw up a movie about a killer chopping up hippies?

oh boy, season two of dexter disappointed, big time. i kept thinking they were going somewhere with certain things and then they would do nothing with it. i don't want to ruin anything for you, but by the end it's just such a letdown. it's not like a season three of veronica mars deal where the show turns to complete shit, but it's not good.  sunday night we watched kind hearts and coronets. it was great.

ok, just finished season 2 of Dexter. I liked it a lot, not quite as much as season one but that would be hard to match.

^^ yeah, got sucked into that one myself. Recently watched: Otis: Not bad. A nice parody-ish of torture porn (see hostel, turistas, funny games, ad nauseam...) but a quick abrupt ending killed (pun intended) the movie. other flaws include the main character being semi-absent, BUT the other actors kept the momentum. Semi-Pro: pretty damn funny. i wanna shoot will ferrell but props. there were a lot of funny moments. Postal: I was actually surprised i found this one amusing. I think Uwe Boll sucks but i do love me some dave foley. funny games: I really wanted to like this movie, i really did. what I had read about it before hand seemed out of the box and a fresh approach, but damn did it fall short. there were some shocking hardcore moments (which credit is due; happen slightly off screen, giving a nice implied terror touch) I really dug that but. You gotta give me a story. I actually cared about the characters and ended up NOT caring about them by the end. This is a remake (done by the original director no less) and I am curious to give that a whirl to see contrast a man's vision from a decade ago.

American Ninja it was on vs. a couple days back. loved it as a kid, but it's really really really bad. terrible acting and sloppy action sequences. pure 80's cinematic garbage, but I'd watch it again if it's re-aired. I didn't know till this recent re-watch that the brunette chick from "weird science" is in it. not kelly lebrock, the other brunette chick, the one from the guys' high school with the blond friend. she looked good.

Apocalypto- I liked this flick, has subtitles throughout which may piss some off but over all it was entertaining and well shot.

"The Tenant". A decent film starring pre-fugitive Roman Polanski. One annoying thing: the movie is set in Paris, yet there is not a single French person in the movie.

Had a lot of spare time on my hands lately so seen quite a few flicks: Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Not very good but not nearly as bad as most fan bois are saying. Tropic Thunder - Not nearly as funny as I had heard but I watched it alone and I always feel comedies are funnier with a group of people. The X-Files: I Want to Believe - Basically an extended episode of the series and a bad episode at that. Postal - Pretty fuckin' funny... who'da thunk that Uwe Boll could make a good film? Where in the World is Osama Bin Laden? - Pretty interesting. The thread that ties everyone together on this planet? WWE Wrestling [spoileralert] He doesn't find him [/spoileralert] Dead and Gone - Marketed as a mix of David Lynch and Evil Dead... I don't think so folks. Felon - Just a typical prison flick... nothing special. Calvaire - Got a lot of hype from horror web-sites but it was pretty boring and was more stupid than it was disturbing. Speed Racer - Stupid but kinda fun Recount - I'm Canadian and it even made me angry Get Smart - Pretty good for a TV remake. I want more Hymie. Warburton can do no wrong.

Batman: Dark Knight I know I've been away and there were probably threads about this movie alone, but holy shit what a good movie! I've seen it twice now in theater, I can't remember the last time I did that. Maybe it was Ice Pirates

I watched "21" tonight. Kevin Spacey and Kate Bosworth in a movie about card counters taking Vegas for cash.
It was a total piece of shit. Very predictable, bad music, cliche after cliche.
Don't bother.
