Cocaine Cowboys is a great documentary. Showtime plays it all the time. It's fascinating.

I am presently watching the first 3 seasons on Shotimes tv series Weeds- had never seen it before but i love it. I have never even smoked weed but oddly enough i am greatly amused by weed flicks and shows.
Weeds is awesome, what season are you on now? Isnt she like the hottest pot dealer ever?, I fuckin love her, this season looks very promising also.

Hmmmmm season 3 was awesome, you're gonna love the way it ends cause you wont know what she's gonna do in season 4 but the ending is pretty neat, I dont either, its only on the lst show so far. Started June 16th.
Glad you enjoyed it, it is a really good story line. The writing is awesome. She won the emmy for it I believe 2 yrs ago.

I've been on a foreign horror kick for about a month or so. Just watched these two this week...
Hell's Ground is the first slasher flick to come out of Pakistan. It's entirely filmed there and as the boxcover says, it really has a Texas Chainsaw Massacre meets Night of the Living Dead feel to it. It's short, around 75min, but I highly recommend it...besides, what's cooler than a psychopath in a bloody burqa wielding a huge spiked ball on a chain?
This one is called Kilometero 31 and it's from Mexico. This has a Japanese horror feel to it, and incorporates creepy children and quite a few jump-scares. Although these kinds of things are overused in American cinema, it's great to see another country's take on the concept. Also highly recommended.

Last week, I watched "No country for old men". Excellent in every aspect.
Earlier today, I watched "Eastern promises". Very nice indeed. I like violent, bloody movies. Great acting, nice plot.

Tonight I watched a documentary on HBO called "Hard Times at Douglass High." It's about the impact of the No Child Left Behind Act signed by Bush. They spend a year in a inner city (translation: black) high school.
It was pretty good. You walk away with sympathy for the teachers. It's an impossible task. One teacher mentioned that of an incoming class of 500 freshman, less than 3% read at a 9th grade level.

just got back from "get smart" and it was actually rather entertaining. steve carrell was perfect for his role, as was (i can't believe i'm finna say this--->) the rock.

I went to see Get Smart today. It was pretty funny. It moved along quickly, had some funny lines and the chick is hot. Pretty much exactly what you would want to get out of it.

Why the crying?
The movie maintained a certain emotional detachment throughout and, I thought, there was no sad event/resolution?
I'm not even sure of Ryan's character was fired when he went to see the principal (and a substitute showed up in class the next day), or if he merely called in "sick" that day.
At the end, his shaving off of his beard while his favorite student sat on the couch seemed to be an indication that he would be getting his shit together. Therefore hopeful?
Maybe the sad part was when his favorite student decided to earn a little $ delivering dope, and Frank made sure her second delivery was to Ryan in that motel room?

her name was evanna lynch. luna is adorable. i like her father, although i don't think that his character is in the movies.

Out of boredom, I just watched Stardust on my Demand Channel.
Surprisingly, it held my interest all the way through.
And Claire Danes is always hot.

Tonight I watched Charlie Wilson's War. It was very good little flick. It's only 90 minutes long and it keeps up a brisk pace. It's very funny and very smartly written. The write is Aaron Sorkin that created the West Wing series.  For this one. Also a surprising number of smoking hot chicks in the movie.
