Watched 'American Beauty' last night... I hadn't seen it since it came out. Still as awesome as it was the the first go round.

Ratatouille was reeeeaalllly cute. we vod'd 'mrs. doubtfire' last night, and tonight we're going to watch MASH. i don't think that i've ever seen the movie version. i got so sunburned today, with spf 70. what the fuck?

i think we are going to see 'the incredible hulk' tonight. i hope it doesn't suck but i'm not too hopeful. i'd rather see 'the happening', but we have no babysitter. i'm seriously considering telling everybody i have to go to the bathroom while we're at 'the hulk' and ditching their asses to go watch the other movie.
oh and i'm sunburned and in severe pain, lame.

I went to see the Hulk movie. It's not all that good. It does have moments where is is enjoyable. The CGI is fantastic and very good action scenes. The dialog and performances were really cheesy at times.
If you like comic book movies in general you'll probably like it. If not it might be worth missing.
They are totally setting up the Avengers and Captain America movies too.

FINALLY watched "There Will Be Blood" in its entirety and have to agree with the consensus analysis:
Outstanding acting by DDL and award-winning cinematography undercut by PTA's inability to plot a movie and unwillingness to edit same to FLOW instead meander fitfully until the movie runs out...

I watched Category 7: The End of the World. Pretty standard disaster movie. Only good thing: Gina Gershon, who, I think, is very sexy and pretty. Didn't see the end, because another movie started.
Scream 2: entertaining. Opening scene in the cinema was nice, but all in all not very scary. Tonight, they air Scream 3.

I just watched "Hot Fuzz" and enjoyed it. It's by the same guys that did "Shawn of the Dead". It's basically a send up of Michael Bay/ cheesy cop movies.
Very British, very dry and very funny in places.

I watched 'Space Truckers' while I was having lunch today...it reminded me of the unfunny bits you get on Mystery Science Theatre 3000 when they're not watching/slating the movies. Which is to say it's just awful.
All the way through I'm asking myself 'Who directed this piece of shit?', then the end credits roll and I see it was none other than Stuart Gordon, the guy who made 'Re-Animator'. I couldn't believe it...

I watched Cannonball. It is without question the cheesiest movie of all time. It is so bad I was having a hard time telling if it was a spoof or not. I'm still not sure. But it was awful in every sense. Terrible performances, terrible dialog, terrible music.......And I loved every minute of it. It is so bad it's genius. For the Bible Tells Me So: I love this documentary. Basically, it's a bunch of bible thumpers bashing gays and talking about the abominations of gay butt sex before they are eventually forced to accept that homosexuals exist.

An MST3K episode I hadn't seen yet that was in a boxed set I recently picked up. The movie was The Rebel Set. Kinda dull. Last 30 minutes picked up a little bit with some good riffs here and there, but nothing really laugh out loud funny or really memorable about it. 2 out of 5.
