SkinTight Pictures Fights Online Piracy

In an effort to thwart pre-release piracy, SkinTight Pictures has moved its release date for Chunky on the Fourth of July from Friday, July 4th, to Monday, June 30th. This extraordinary counter measure comes in response to early sub-standard versions of the forthcoming film available for download on such file sharing networks as Kazaa and Morpheus.

“Obviously, we don’t want a Metallica vs. Napster bloodbath on our hands,” says producer Cram Johnson. “Everyone hates Metallica. They're sellouts. Their new cd sucks ass."

Coincidentally, it was while downloading Metallica's new disc that Cram came upon an early, unfinished version of Chunky on the Fourth of July.

“It’s a delicate situation,” echoes director Grip Johnson. “We’re excited and proud that people can’t wait to see our movie, but it just isn’t good for business. Cram and I have modenas to upkeep and at least four abortions a week to pay for. We just can’t afford to lose money so carelessly.”

Chunky on the Fourth of July is SkinTight’s first picture since their last. Unprecedented levels of anticipation have made it one of the most pirated titles on the net, second only to Ang Lee’s The Hulk. The film, which was originally scheduled for release on Independence Day, is the true story of an unsung chunky war hero’s return home after her grueling capture in Nasiriya, Iraq.

SkinTight Pictures is currently in talks with attorney Howard King, best known for representing Metallica and Dr. Dre in their lawsuit against Napster. “We’re keeping all avenues open,” states Grip.
